專家簡介：Bruce Applebaum，美國國務院英語語言學者，現執教蘇州大學。美國波士頓人，獲得TESOL碩士學位，1999-2009年在日本、韓國、印度尼西亞和阿拉伯聯合酋長國等亞洲和中東國家從事英語教學，2010-2012年執教北京師範大學，擅長以工作坊形式講授交際教學法和其他教學法，目前關注任務型教學法和語言學習中思辨能力的發展。

工作坊（四）簡介：Reading is one of the four skills but teaching doesn’t mean that the teacher cannot integrate other skills as well.  This workshop will give participants the opportunity to experience activities that will enrich a reading class or get new ideas for reading activities to use in other classes.  There will also be an incorporation of critical thinking, task based language teaching and content based language teaching that has been discussed in previous workshops.  We will also discuss ideas for using authentic materials and best practices for the classroom.
