專家簡介：Bruce Applebaum，美國國務院英語語言學者，現執教蘇州大學。美國波士頓人，獲得TESOL碩士學位，1999-2009年在日本、韓國、印度尼西亞和阿拉伯聯合酋長國等亞洲和中東國家從事英語教學，2010-2012年執教北京師範大學，擅長以工作坊形式講授交際教學法和其他教學法，目前關注任務型教學法和語言學習中思辨能力的發展。願意與中國朋友分享美國曆史、政治、文化等方面知識。

講座簡介：This lecture will give an introduction to the process how the President of the United States is elected.  The lecture will cover some background of the U.S. elections, including history, the two main political parties, past elections and the Electoral College.  The speaker will also discuss the current election and the issues being debated.  The lecture will be interactive, inviting attendees to participate in discussions, debates and other activities.
